Since November 1, 2022, French (and European) citizens are exempt from an entry visa into Zambia for:
– Tourism reason, length of stay 90 days maximum per calendar year,
– Business reason, length of stay 30 days maximum per calendar year.
Please note, periods of maximum 30 days are allocated and this therefore requires extensions to be made on site if stays are longer than 30 days.
For long-term business trips, it is possible to try to obtain a Visa on arrival (you will need to bring the necessary documents: invitation letter, economic document, etc.) but from experience traveler, we recommend obtaining an eVisa before your departure: Visa Travel International can assist you in this process.
Please note that no visa is issued upon arrival in the country. Therefore, the traveler must make his request to the Zambian immigration service before his departure.
Conditions of entry in Zambia
To be able to enter the territory of Zambia, the traveller must bring his passport with visa as well as a return flight ticket.
If the traveler wishes to obtain a Visa on arrival, then a list of documents will be taken with them so that immigration can examine the file on site with the potential risk of refusal of entry into Zambian territory.
It should be noted that, even if the traveller is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Zambia, the Zambian authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.
