General information
To travel to Sri Lanka a Visa on arrival is necessary whether for a trip for tourist purposes, a private or family visit or even business.
To this end, you will find on this page all the information and answers to questions that will be useful to you in obtaining your visa.

Do you need a Visa for Sri Lanka?
Until now, to travel to Sri Lanka, it was compulsory to obtain an eVisa. Since August 2024, Sri Lanka has stopped this new eVisa and the Visa is now obtained on arrival at the airport.
The Visa on arrival will be valid for tourist or business trips.
Please note below the list of documents to present upon arrival at the airport:
Business: passport valid for 6 months, return plane tickets, invitation letter from the Sri Lankan company (+$55 fee to be paid on site)
Tourism: passport valid for 6 months, return plane tickets, proof of resources (+$55 fee to be paid on site).
Conditions of entry in Sri Lanka
To be able to enter Sri Lankan territory, the traveler must have their passport (valid for at least 6 months after the date of entry into the territory), a return flight ticket and:
– Business: letter of invitation from the Sri Lankan company (+$55 fee to be paid on site)
– Tourism: proof of resources (+$55 fee to be paid on site)
No health restrictions on entry to Sri Lanka.
It should be noted that, even if the traveler is in possession of all the documents required to validate his entry into Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.
Understanding the Visa for Sri Lanka
The Visa on arrival is valid for 30 days for a maximum stay of 30 days on site.
