General information

To travel to Mongolia, a Visa/eVisa is required.

French people wishing to go to Mongolia for tourism must obtain an electronic visa (eVisa) before departure.

For business trips, French people must obtain a Visa in their passport from the Mongolian Embassy.

Visa Travel International, an agency approved by the Mongolian Consulate, remains at your disposal to check your file and submit applications for you, both for the Visa and for the eVisa.

Do you need a Visa for Mongolia?

Nationals of countries that are not eligible for the eVisa for tourist stays must apply for a Visa at the Embassy.

The list of countries that are eligible for eVisa: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, South Korea, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland.

For business trips, you will need to obtain a Visa stamped in your passport before departure.

Conditions of entry in Mongolia

There are currently no health restrictions for traveling to Mongolia.

In order to enter the territory of Mongolia, travelers will need to present their passport, a return flight ticket as well as a Visa or eVisa (depending on the reason for travel).

Understanding the Visa for Mongolia

The single entry Business Visa is valid for 90 days for a 30-day stay on site.

The multiple entry Business Visa is valid for 6 months for stays of 90 to 180 days on site depending on the invitation letter.

The Tourism eVisa is valid for 150 days for a 30-day stay on site.

Documents to be provided: Visa Business

  • The original passport (with a validity of 6 months)
  • A recent color identity photo (less than 6 months old), photo booth type
  • Scanning return flight tickets
  • Scanning the hotel reservation
  • Scanning a mission letter from your company (with company letterhead, signed and stamped)
  • Scan of an invitation letter from the Mongolian company (with company letterhead, signed and stamped)
  • An insurance certificate covering medical and repatriation costs (Visa Travel International can take one out for you)

Documents to be provided: eVisa Tourism

  • Scanning the double page of passport data (valid for 6 months from the date of arrival in Mongolia)
  • The scan of a recent color identity photo (6 months old) and of very good quality
  • A scan of the hotel reservation or accommodation certificate
  • The following information must be provided (and returned to us by email):

          Contact details of the person to contact in the event of an emergency (last name, first name, telephone number):

If your file is complete and of high quality, you should have no problem obtaining your Visa/eVisa on time. However, we recommend that you take a margin for your trip; Mongolia does not have an emergency procedure.
