General information

To travel to Lebanon a visa is mandatory for business travel.

For a tourist trip, the visa can be obtained at the border post or be carried out by the consulate before departure.

Do you need a Visa for Lebanon?

Obtaining a visa for a professional visit is compulsory before departure.

For a tourist trip the visa can be obtained at the border post or be carried out by the consulate before departure.

Conditions of entry in Lebanon

To be able to enter the territory of Lebanon, the traveler will have to bring his passport with visa (mandatory if professional visit, optional if tourist trip) as well as a return flight ticket.

It should be noted that, even if the traveler is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Lebanon, the Lebanese authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

Understanding the Visa for Lebanon

The visa is valid from the date of issue for a period of 90 days, for a stay of 15 days, or from 1 to 3 months following the visa requested.

Documents to be provided: Visa Business

  • An original passport without an Israel visa or stamp, signed and valid for at least 6 months + a photocopy of the passport data page
  • A duly completed and signed form
  • A front-face “identity” photo
  • A letter of invitation from your correspondents indicating the reason, the duration of the stay, the contact details of the correspondent and the payment of accommodation and travel expenses
  • A letter from your company indicating the reason, the duration of the stay, the contact details of the correspondent and the payment of the costs of stay and travel
  • “Recent proof of address (copy of rent receipt, or latest French electricity bill)”
  • Proof of resources (copy of the last 3 payslips or 3 last bank account statements)
  • A copy of the return flight ticket
  • A copy of the hotel reservation
  • A copy of the residence permit as well as proof of address for non-French people

  • An original passport without an Israel visa or stamp, signed and valid for at least 6 months + a photocopy of the passport data page
  • A duly completed and signed form

  • Proof of resources (copy of the last 3 payslips or 3 last bank account statements)
  • A copy of the return flight ticket
  • A copy of the hotel reservation or accommodation certificate + copy of the guest’s identity document
  • A copy of the residence permit as well as proof of address for non-French people

Please note, no foreigner will be able to enter Lebanese territory if they have a passport in which there is a visa or stamps for entering and leaving Israel.

The same applies if, during a search of your luggage on your arrival, customs discovers all documents relating to a stay in Israel (plane ticket, luggage tags, documents written in Hebrew, etc…).
