Do you need a Visa for Equatorial Guinea?

Obtaining a visa before departure is mandatory to travel to Equatorial Guinea.

It should be noted that no visa is issued on arrival in the country. Therefore, the traveler must imperatively make his request to the Guinean immigration service before his departure.

Conditions of entry in Equatorial Guinea

Pour pouvoir entrer sur le territoire de la Guinée Equatoriale le voyageur devra se munir de son passeport avec visa ainsi que d’un billet d’avion aller / retour.

Il est à noter que, même si le voyageur est en possession de tous les documents demandés pour valider son entrée en Guinée Equatoriale, les autorités guinéennes se réservent le droit de refuser l’accès à leur territoire sans avoir à s’en justifier.

Understanding the Visa for Equatorial Guinea

The visa is valid for 60 days, for a single entry, from the date of issue for stays of up to one month.

Documents to be provided: Visa Business

  • An original passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months + a photocopy of the passport data page.
  • A duly completed form.
  • Two face-to-face color photos of “identity” format.
  • An entry permit issued by the Guinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an invitation endorsed by the Guinean national security department.
  • A letter from your company indicating the reason, the duration of the stay, the contact details of the correspondent and the payment of the costs of stay and travel.
  • A copy of the return flight ticket.
  • A copy of the vaccination record mentioning in particular the vaccine against yellow fever.
  • A criminal record status form.
  • A copy of the residence permit for non-European people as well as proof of address for non-French people.

Documents to be provided: Visa Tourism

  • An original passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months + a photocopy of the passport data page.
  • A duly completed form.
  • Two face-to-face color photos of “identity” format.
  • A copy of the return flight ticket.
  • Confirmed hotel reservation offered by the hotel establishment or an accommodation certificate legalized by the Department of National Security.
  • A copy of the vaccination record mentioning in particular the vaccine against yellow fever.
  • Proof of resources (copy of the last 3 payslips or 3 last bank statements).
  • A criminal record status form.
  • A copy of the residence permit for non-European people as well as proof of address for non-French people.
