Access to Djiboutian territory is subject to obtaining a visa.
For transit and short-stay visas, French people can apply for an eVisa.
They can otherwise obtain the visa on arrival for a period of one month but, for your added security and peace of mind, we recommend that you obtain your eVisa before travel.

Obtaining a visa or eVisa is mandatory to travel to Djibouti.
Please note that a visa can be issued upon arrival in the country.
Likewise, it is possible (and recommended) to obtain an eVisa before departure, whether for Business or Tourism reasons. It will be presented with your passport upon arrival in Djibouti.
There are currently no health restrictions for traveling to Djibouti.
To be able to enter the territory of Djibouti, the traveler must have their passport and eVisa.
It should be noted that, even if the traveler is in possession of all the documents required to validate his entry into Djibouti, the Djiboutian authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.
The visa and eVisa will be valid depending on the dates of stay.
NB : The lead times given here are the ones from Consulates and/or Embassies.
Although it is possible to obtain a Visa on arrival, we recommend that you travel with an eVisa obtained before departure.
The time frame is quite short to obtain it and it would therefore be a shame to deprive yourself of this peace of mind during your trip!
