General information

To travel to Cuba a Visa or eVisa is usually required with a few exceptions.

Are exempt from visas, if stay of less than 90 days: Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Montenegro and Serbia. If the stay does not exceed 30 days: Belarus, Benin, Bosnia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Namibia, Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

Do you need a Visa for Cuba ?

Obtaining a Visa (Business) or eVisa (Tourism) before departure is required to travel to Cuba.

It should be noted that no visa is issued upon arrival in the country. Therefore, it is imperative that the traveller apply to the Cuban Embassy in Paris.

Conditions of entry in Cuba

In order to enter Cuban territory, the traveller will need to carry his passport with a Visa or eVisa as well as a return flight ticket.

It should be noted that, even if the traveller is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Cuba, the Cuban authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

Understanding the Visa for Cuba

The business Visa is valid for 6 months from the date of issuance for a stay of up to 30 days.

The tourism eVisa is valid for 3 months.

Documents to be provided : Visa Business

  • An original passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months – A photocopy of the passport data page.
  • A completed and signed form
  • A “identity” photo from the front
  • A letter of invitation from your correspondents indicating the reason, duration of stay, contact information of the correspondent and the cost of stay and travel
  • A letter from your company stating the reason, duration of stay, contact information of the correspondent and the cost of stay and travel
  • A certificate of repatriation insurance
  • A copy of the return flight ticket

  • A copy of the residence card as well as a proof of residence for non-French people.

Documents to be provided : eVisa Tourism

  • A copy/scan of the passport data page

  • A form duly completed and returned to VTI by email (contact@visatravel.fr)

  • A copy of the return flight ticket

  • A repatriation insurance certificate (–> NB: Visa Travel International can propose to you you this insurance on our website)

VTI’s advice for your trip to Cuba

Beware, following the health crisis, upon your arrival in Cuba, you must show the negative result of a PCR test performed less than 72 hours before arrival, submit to a PCR test, mandatory, at the airport and pay a health tax amounting to 30 USD.
