General information
To travel to Bolivia a Visa is generally not necessary with a few exceptions.
French people wishing to go to Bolivia for a tourist stay of less than 90 days obtain a Visa on arrival.
For business stays, if the passenger is not paid by a Bolivian company during their stay, they can enter without a Visa as a tourist.
For any reason other than tourism or family, the passenger must obtain a Visa before departure.

Do you need a Visa for Bolivia?
French people wishing to go to Bolivia for Tourism for a stay of less than 90 days obtain a Visa on arrival.
Business visa
Bolivian authorities can issue two types of visas to business travelers:
1- Short stay tourist visa
Valid for 90 days (over a calendar year). It is free and is obtained upon arrival in the country.
2- Long-stay visa intended for business travelers (“multiple consular visa”)
Valid for one year, it allows multiple entries and exits from the country, with no limit on length of stay. The request is made to the Bolivian embassy in Paris. This visa is paid. Its cost will be indicated by the consular section when submitting the file.

Submission of documents: submission of documents in paper version is done after making an appointment at the Consulate.

Conditions of entry in Bolivia
There are currently no health restrictions for traveling to Bolivia.
Any foreigner entering Bolivian territory, by air or land, must register 48 hours before departure with the Bolivian General Directorate of Migration and complete the form on the website https://sistemas.migracion.gob.bo/ sigemig/#/seguridad/login indicating where he will be accommodated during his stay.
Documents to be provided : Work visa
- A passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from your entry into Bolivia
- The form to complete on the website of the Bolivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: http://www.rree.gob.bo/formvisas/
- 2 color ID photos less than 6 months old (3.5 x 4.5 cms
- The yellow fever vaccination booklet
- Visa request letter to the Embassy of Bolivia specifying the reason for your stay in Bolivia
- A mission letter which specifies the purpose of entry into Bolivia
- A letter of invitation from the Bolivian company
- An extract from the criminal record in French and its translation into Spanish by a sworn translator and legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in France (Visa Travel International can take care of these procedures for you)
- Proof of good financial resources (account statements, pay slips, etc.)
- A hotel reservation or signed accommodation certificate specifying the address of the stay
- KBis extract from the company
- A photocopy of the valid residence permit for foreign nationals staying in France
