General information

To travel to Azerbaijan a visa is usually required with a few exceptions.

Nationals of the following countries are exempt from visas for stays of less than 90 days: Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Do you need a Visa for Azerbaijan?

Obtaining an eVisa before departure is required to travel to Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that no visa is issued upon arrival in the country. Therefore, it is imperative that the traveller apply to the Azerbaijan Consular Service in France before leaving.

Conditions of entry in Azerbaijan

In order to enter Azerbaijan, the traveller will need to carry his passport with an eVisa as well as a return flight ticket.

It should be noted that, even if the traveller is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

Understanding the Visa for Azerbaijan

The visa is based on the dates indicated on the documents provided at the time of the visa application

Documents to be provided: eVisa Business

  • The scan of the double data page of passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months
  • 1 form duly completed, signed and mailed back to VTI
  • 1 “identity”-sized photo from the front, in colour

    • Scan of an official invitation letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (private invitation letters are not accepted)

    • A copy/scan of the residence card and a proof of residence for non-French people
    • A copy/scan of the hotel reservationA copy/scan of the return flight ticket
    • Scan of a Kbis Extract from the company in Azerbaijan
    • Scan of a letter from your company stating the reason, duration of stay, contact information of the correspondent and the cost of living and travelling

    Documents to be provided: eVisa Tourism

    • A scan of the double data page of a passport (signed and valid for at least 6 months)
    • 1 form duly completed, signed and mailed back to VTI
    • 1 “identity”-sized photo from the front, in colour
    • A scan of an official invitation letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (letters of private invitations are not accepted)
    • A copy/scan of the hotel reservation or a certificate of accommodation
    • A copy/scan of the return flight ticket
    • A copy/scan of the residence card as well as a proof of residence for non-French people
