General information

To travel to Australia an electronic travel authorization, eVisitor or ETA, must be obtained before departure.

Do you need a Visa for Australia?

Obtaining a visa before departure is mandatory to travel to Australia.

It should be noted that no visa is issued on arrival in the country. Therefore the traveler must imperatively make his request to the Australian immigration service before his departure.

Conditions of entry in Australia

In order to enter the territory of Australia, the traveler must bring his passport and a copy of his eVisitor or ETA as well as a return plane ticket.

It should be noted that, even if the traveler is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Australia, the Australian authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

Understanding the Visa for Australia

The eVisitor and ETA are valid for 1 year for a maximum stay of 3 months per trip.

If you applied before the border reopened, then the processing time is calculated from the date you became eligible to travel. If you applied after the border reopened, then the processing time is calculated from the date you applied.
