General information

To travel to Afghanistan a visa is required.

For visa applications, it is imperative that the applicant presents himself in person at the Consular Section of the embassy to submit his file.

Do you need a Visa for Afghanistan?

Obtaining a visa before departure is mandatory to travel to Afghanistan.

It should be noted that no visa is issued on arrival in the country. Therefore, the traveler must imperatively apply to the Afghan Embassy in Paris.

Conditions of entry in Afghanistan

To be able to enter Afghan territory, the traveler must bring his passport with visa as well as a return plane ticket.

It should be noted that, even if the traveler is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Afghanistan, the Afghan authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

Understanding the Visa for Afghanistan

The visa is valid from 30 days to 2 years following the request from the date of entry indicated on the form.

Documents to be provided : Visa Business

  • An original, signed passport valid for at least 6 months + a photocopy of the passport data page
  • A duly completed and signed form
  • Two front-facing identity photos
  • A letter of invitation + a letter from the chamber of commerce on which the company visited in Pakistan depends
  • A letter from your company specifying the reason and the dates of your trip
  • A copy of the hotel reservation
  • A copy of the return flight ticket
  • A copy of the last bank account statement
  • A copy of the residence permit as well as proof of address for non-French people
