Major development for entering Israel: for visa-exempt travelers, the country is revising its entry formalities.

The Hebrew State, for which an electronic visa already exists for certain nationalities/situations, requires obtaining an electronic visa (its name will be ETA-IL) for citizens of countries benefiting from a visa exemption, all of which European countries.

From January 1, 2025, the eVisa (ETA-IL) is available to nationals of countries currently exempt from entry visas into Israel.

To request the ETA-IL electronic travel authorization, Visa Travel International can assist you and obtain it for you as we already do for all the different types of existing electronic Visas (USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Benin , Cameroon, …).

The ETA-IL electronic visa, covering travel reasons for Tourism, Business, studies, etc., is valid for a period of 2 years upon approval and will allow multiple entries over its period of validity.

Each stay in Israel cannot exceed 90 days.

Currently, visitors from 100 countries and territories can travel to Israel without a visa, but as of July 1, 2024, an ETA-IL will be required for the following countries: European Union member states (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden), South Africa, Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Belarus, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Costa Rica, Dominica , United Arab Emirates, Ecuador, Eswatini, United States, Fiji, Georgia, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Solomon Islands, Iceland, Jamaica, Japan, Kosovo, Lesotho, Liechtenstein, Macau, North Macedonia, Malawi, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Nauru, Norway, New Zealand, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Central African Republic, Dominican Republic, United Kingdom, Russia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, San Marino, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, El Salvador, Serbia, Singapore, Switzerland, Suriname, Taiwan, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine, Uruguay and Vanuatu.
