General information

To travel to Madagascar a Visa is generally required with a few exceptions.

Visa Travel International is an agency approved by the Madagascar consulate to support you in your procedures, regardless of the type of Visa you need.

To this end, you will find on this page all the information and answers to questions that will be useful to you in obtaining your Visa. If this is not the case, do not hesitate to get back to us so that we can give you all the information you need.

Do you need a Visa for Madagascar?

A Visa is required to enter the territory of Madagascar whatever the reason for your trip is.

A pass may be offered  at the airport for a stay of less than 15 days for a fee of 10 euros. We strongly advise you to secure your trip by obtaining your Visa prior your departure/trip.

A Visa is required for all stays longer than 15 days (Business, Tourism, …).

Conditions of entry in Madagascar

To be able to enter the territory of Madagascar, the traveler must bring his passport with Visa (if applicable) as well as a return flight ticket.

It should be noted that, even if the traveler is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Madagascar, the Malagasy authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

Understanding the Visa for Madagascar

The Visa obtained from the Malagasy consulate in Paris is valid from its date of issue for a period of 1 to 3 months.

Documents to be provided : Visa Business and Tourism

 
  • An original passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months
  • A scan of the passport double data page
  • A Visa Application Form (short stay / – 90 days) or a Visa Application Form (long stay)
  • 2 front “identity” format photos (colour, recent, clear background)
  • A letter of invitation from the Malagasy company signed and stamped (as part of a professional visa application)
  • A scan of the return flight ticket or a flight reservation certificate
  • A scan of the residence permit for non-French people

Note: for multiple entry visa applications, provide copies of flight tickets for all upcoming/future trips.

Visa/Pass on arrival:

If you plan to go to Madagascar by obtaining your visa on arrival, we invite you to check 72 to 48 hours before your departure that Malagasy legislation has not modified the terms of entry into its territory. Even if the procedure takes longer, for greater peace of mind, we recommend that you have a Visa affixed to your passport before departure.
