General information

To travel to Algeria a visa is usually required with a few exceptions.

Visa Travel International is an agency approved by Algerian consulates to assist you in your steps, regardless of the type of visa you would need.

To this end you will find on this page all the information and answers to the questions that will be useful to you in order to obtain your visa. If this is not the case, please return to us so that we can give you all the information you need.

 

NOTA BENE: for travellers from Province, before doing anything, please contact our team on contact@visatravel.fr or at 01.42.25.13.65 to consider a possible application at an algerian consulate located in Province (each “département” is belonging to a specific consulate). We will assist you in compiling and checking your application, making appointments (if needed) and preparing your appointment at the chosen consulate. 

Do you need a Visa for Algeria?

Obtaining a visa before departure is mandatory to travel to Algeria.

It is important to anticipate your trip and therefore your need for a Visa because most algerian Consulates only accept applications by appointment and the slots offered are often very few and far away (several weeks of leadtime). Visa Travel International can submit your application on your behalf (if you live in Paris you have to apply/collect by yourself and if you are linked to apply Créteil/Bobigny consulates, the submission/collect are made in person for Tourism visa applications only) but does not decide on the slots offered by the Consulates.

It should be noted that no visa is issued upon arrival in the country. Therefore, it is imperative that the traveller apply to the Algerian consular services in France before leaving.

Conditions of entry in Algeria

In order to enter the territory of Algeria, the traveller will have to carry his passport with a visa as well as a return air ticket.

The results of a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours will also be proposed.

It should be noted that, even if the traveller is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Algeria, the Algerian authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

Understanding the Visa for Algeria

The visa is valid for 1 month for a single entry application and 3 to 6 months for a multiple-entry visa application.

Documents to be provided: Visa Business

  •  An original passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months + a photocopy of the passport data page
  • 2 forms duly completed and signed
  • 2 “identity”-sized photos from the front
  • A double copy of your correspondents’ letter of invitation showing the reason, length of stay, contact information for the correspondent and the cost of living and travelling
  • A double letter from your company showing the reason, length of stay, contact information for the correspondent and the cost of living and travelling
  • A certificate of repatriation insurance

  • Copy of your last pay slip (or failing less than 3 months) or employer certificate specifying salary

 

  • Scanning a procuration (dated, signed) authorizing the company Visa Travel International to submit your Visa application on your behalf and also authorizing them to collect your passport with Visa (NB: except if you apply in Paris’ consulate where it has to be done in person and the same foes for Tourism Visa only, in Créteil and Bobgny consulates)

 

  • A proof of residence in France (electricity, gaz, taxes,…)

 

  • A copy of the residence card for non-european people

For an application at the Consulate of Créteil:

  • Scanning your company’s KBis (commercial registration form)
  • Scanning the simplified Accounting Balance Sheet of your company
  • Commercial register of the inviting company in Algeria

NB: we will be able to submit Visa applications on behalf of travelers in the Ile de France region (excluding Paris intra-muros). Regarding requests linked to provincial consulates, our service (see below) includes assistance in compiling the file (may vary depending on the Consulate), sending the form and making an appointment (confirmation of location, timing, …).

Documents to be provided: Visa Tourism

  •  An original passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months + a photocopy of the passport data page
  • 2 forms duly completed and signed
  • 2 “identity”-sized photos from the front
  • A copy of the return flight ticket
  • A copy of the hotel reservation or a certificate of accommodation
  • A certificate of repatriation insurance

  • Copy of your last pay slip (or failing less than 3 months) or employer certificate specifying salary
  • A certificate of residence
  • A copy of the residence card as well as a proof of residence for non-French people

VTI’s advice for your trip to Algeria

Watch out for the form! Be sure to respond to all the proposed topics in order to avoid any application refusal. Also make sure that it is completed electronically; any form completed in a handwritten way will be rejected by the consulate.

Additionally, we strongly recommend you take some room with the date of your trip as leadtime at consulates to manage your application can vary and can sometimes take up to 3 weeks minimum.
