General information

To travel to Zimbabwe a visa is usually required with a few exceptions.

Nationals of the following countries are exempt from visas: South Africa, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Rep dem. From Congo, Cyprus, Fiji, Ghana, Grenadines (Islands), Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Namibia, Nauru, Uganda, Samoa, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, St Lucia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Zambia.

Do you need a Visa for Zimbabwe?

A visa is required to enter Zimbabwe. It should be noted that the visa on arrival is no longer issued until further notice.

Therefore, it is imperative that the traveller apply and obtain his visa before departure.

Conditions of entry in Zimbabwe

In order to enter Zimbabwe, the traveller will need to carry his passport with a visa as well as a return air ticket.

It should be noted that, even if the traveller is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwean authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

Understanding the Visa for Zimbabwe

The visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance.

Documents to be provided: Visa Business

  • An original passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months + a photocopy of the passport data page
  • A completed and signed form
  • A “identity” photo on the front
  • A letter of invitation from your correspondents indicating the reason, duration of stay, contact information of the correspondent and the cost of stay and travel
  • A letter from your company stating the reason, duration of stay, contact information of the correspondent and the cost of stay and travel
  • A copy of the residence card as well as a proof of residence for non-French people

Documents to be provided: Visa Tourism

  • An original passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months + a photocopy of the passport data page
  • A completed and signed form
  • A “identity” photo on the frony
  • A copy of the return flight ticket

  • A copy of the hotel reservation
  • A copy of the residence card as well as a proof of residence for non-French people

Beware of the strict sanitary conditions at the entrance to Zimbabwe!

Travellers with a negative PCR test of less than 48 hours and with no symptoms of Covid-19 may perform a 14-year home. Travellers who do not have a negative PCR test of less than 48 hours and those with symptoms of Covid-19 are placed in fourteen in a dedicated centre until they are tested. In the event of a negative test, the fourteenth at home is possible. In the event of a positive test, a 14-day isolation placement will be ordered. Health authorities reserve the right to order placement in a government centre if they deem it useful.
