Visas for South Korea

Until 31/12/2024, for a business or tourism trip to South Korea of ​​less than 90 days, no Visa is necessary for those nationalities:

Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Cyprus, Colombia, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Spain, United States of America , Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Marshall Islands, Solomon Islands, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kiribati, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Mexico, Micronesia, Monaco, Nauru, Norway, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Oman, Palau, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Czech Republic, Romania, United Kingdom, San Marino, Samoa, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tonga , Tuvalu, Vatican

However, you will have to fill forms on arrival. To avoid that exercise, you can subscribe to an eVisa (K-ETA) prior to leaving your country. This will allow you to enter South Korea in a smoother way.

The passport must be valid six months after the date of return.

To be able to enter the territory of South Korea, the traveler must bring his passport valid for 6 months after the date of return, his Visa or eVisa (K-ETA) if necessary, as well as a return flight ticket.

It should be noted that, even if the traveler is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into South Korea, the Korean authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.

• An original signed passport valid for 6 months after the date of your return

• A form (No. 17) completed in English and handwritten signature (no electronic signature)

• A recent full-face identity photo less than 6 months old (3.5 x 4.5)

• An invitation letter from the Korean company including the reason for the stay, duration, your profession, etc. and dated/signed/stamped

• A document proving the relationship between the French company and the Korean company (contract, purchase order, invoices, etc.) and supporting the reason for your visit

• Commercial register of the Korean company that invites you (less than 3 months old)

• Korean company tax notice covering a period of one year (Certificate of Tax Payment)

• Proof of bank transfer issued to KVAC (made and supported by Visa Travel International)

• KVAC Consent form and Terms of Use completed, dated and signed (note “Paris” in the “I have the right to contact IOM at…” section).

• A mission letter from your French company, including the reason for the trip, the duration, your profession, etc. and dated/signed/stamped

• A copy of the residence permit (for non-European people) as well as proof of address (for non-French people)

● An original signed passport valid for 6 months after the date of your return + the copy of the passport data page.

● A completed and signed form.

● A front-facing identity photo.

● A hotel reservation or an accommodation certificate.

● A travel certificate specifying the IN and OUT dates or a photocopy of the return ticket.

● A copy of the residence permit as well as proof of address for non-French people.

• If you are:

o Student

• • • • Bank account statement for the last three months (in the name of the Visa applicant) from the date of application submission with the balance indicated at the end of the month
      • Current education certificate

o Employee

• • • • Bank account statement for the last three months (in the name of the Visa applicant) from the date of application submission with the balance indicated at the end of the month
      • Pay slip for the last six months
      • Employment contract or recent and stamped employment certificate

o Self-employed

• • • • Bank account statement for the last three months (in the name of the Visa applicant) from the date of application submission with the balance indicated at the end of the month
      • Quarterly declaration of turnover or the monthly declaration of revenue from URSSAF or Value Added Taxes which cover the period of the last six months
      • KBis, SIREN or URSSAF certificate to prove your self-employed status

• Copy of the identity page of the passport in color and of very good quality (the passport must be signed and valid for at least 6 months after the planned exit from the country and must include at least 2 blank pages)

• A color identity photo (in color scan or photo or copy, to French standards, on a light background, of good quality)

• A completed form

• Reminder: K-ETA authorization is mandatory for unpaid tourist or business travel. For a study, language or work stay, a visa is mandatory, to be obtained before departure.
