General information
The Russian Embassy has mandated a Visa center (VFS Global) to centralize and process all applications and Visa Travel International is an agency approved by this center to be able to support you in the various processes and whatever the type of Visa you need.
To this end, you will find on this page all the information and answers to questions that will be useful to you in order to obtain your Visa.
If this is not the case, please do not hesitate to get back to us so that we can give you all the information you need.
Do you need a Visa for Russia ?
Maximum 30 days: Armenia, Cuba, Ecuador, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey (if ordinary biometric passport only).
Transit through Russia is possible without a Visa for a maximum of 24 hours.
The traveler must be in possession of the onward ticket and must not change terminal. This rule does not apply to travelers coming or going to Belarus: a transit Visa will then be required.
Conditions of entry in Russia
In order to enter Russian territory, the traveler must bring his passport with Visa as well as a return flight ticket.
It should be noted that, even if the traveler is in possession of all the documents requested to validate his entry into Russia, the Russian authorities reserve the right to refuse access to their territory without having to justify it.
Understanding the Visa for Russia
Regarding the business Visa, the validity period can be up to one year. In this case, the Visa is divided into 2 periods of 6 months and the total duration of stays cannot exceed 90 days per period of 6 months.
Documents to be provided : Visa Business
● The original passport, valid 6 months after the end date of the Visa, with at least 2 pages free, face to face and a copy of the passport data page.
For multiple entries, please provide us with a copy of the old Russian Visas already obtained if you do not request the new Visa with the same passport !!!!!
● A form to be made online and then printed, in Russian or French via the website of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation :
Warning: any form that is poorly completed or reissued by our agency will be charged in order to avoid any refusal and productivity loss.
The form must be dated and signed with a bic pen.
NB: if you want us to fill-out the form for you, please ask for it when ordering.
● 1 COLOR ID photo:
Warning: the photo provided must be less than six months old and must not have been used in a previous request.
● 2 photos for The British, Americans and Canadians
● A letter of invitation:
Official invitation issued by the FMS – Federal Immigration Service
Telex: please tell us the telex number and the validity dates of the Visa requested for telex. Make sure the telex is sent to the Paris consulate.
Or
Private invitation:
Written invitation from a legal person, company or host organization, or from Russian national or local authorities
This invitation is written in Russian on a letterhead of the Russian company or organization addressed to the Russian Embassy in Paris and contains the following information:
○ for the guest: name, first name, date of birth, gender, nationality, passport number;
○ dates and purpose of the trip, number of entries and name of children (under 18) accompanying it for the inviting legal person: full name and address, as well as its tax registration number
○ name and function of the signatory RUSSIAN NATIONALITY (DIRECTOR) or copy of the work permit on site and passport.
● A certificate of repatriation insurance: The Russian Consulate informs us today that the insurance must have the wording ‘insurance certificate’ or ‘insurance policy’. Any other naming will be rejected. Any Visa application must be accompanied by a repatriation insurance certificate with the information described below :
1. The date of the insurance contract signature.
2. The police number.
3. The insured’s name, first name, surname.
4. The insurer’s contact information.
5. The validity of the insurance policy must cover the entirety of the Russian invitation.
6. The list of medical services and medical transport, including the repatriation of the remains.
7. The minimum amount of coverage must be EUR 30,000.
8. Coverage territory: worldwide including Russian Federation, Europe, including Russia.
9. The signature and stamp of the insurer Warning :
Insurance must cover the dates of the invitation.

● The confirmed flight ticket for emergency Visa applications.
This procedure only applies to applications with an official invitation, FMS or Telex.
If this is not your case, we may still try to request a waiver from this rule but note that the result will not be guaranteed.
Documents to be provided : Visa Tourism
● The original passport, valid 6 months after the Visa’s end date, with at least 2 pages free face to face and a photocopy of the passport data page.
- A Visa application form completed ONLINE and then printed, in Russian or French via the website of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation :

● 1 COLOR ID photo:
Warning: the photo provided must be less than six months old and must not have been used in a previous request.
● 2 photos for British, Americans and Canadians
● Hotel documents (for a tourist Visa or targeted tourism):
Proof of stay: confirmation form of the reception of the foreign tourist, tourist voucher (exchange voucher) from the French tourist agencies (only the original) or Russian (the original or a fax sent from Russia) which proves that all services related to this trip have been paid in full.
For individual tourists:
established according to the terms of the current Russian legislation bearing the consular reference number of the Russian hotel or tourist agency.
For tourism groups:
the list of participants to the trip attached to the confirmation form of the reception of the foreign tourist.
For targeted tourism, the hotel documents provided with the request must mention it.
Warning: if the invitation exceeds 10 days, it is mandatory to present the detailed programme of the stay established by the Russian tourist agency.
